Healed???

I don't know a single person who can say they haven't had a friend or family member that has been affected by a life threatening illness or some kind of sickness. I personally have seen the effects of cancer on my precious mother. It's difficult to watch someone go through chemotherapy and not have questions/doubts. I found it difficult to understand why God didn't miraculously heal my mother when so many people were praying for her. I let doubt and fear take over and I lost sight of the big picture. My mother however did not! She told me many times that there was only 3 ways that her illness was going to end. 1) God was going to miraculously heal her and she would give Him the glory. 2)The doctors would use treatment to heal her and she would give God the glory for using the physicians to heal her. Or 3) she was going to die, beat us all to heaven and give God the glory!!!
I want to have an attitude like that! I read a story last week about a 39 year old actor that had the same type of cancer as my mother. He was much younger, much healthier, a body builder, and he had the best doctors money could buy. He passed away and my mother is still alive! I read about a mother of three who was a marathon runner who had the same type of cancer as my mother who also died. It was then that God made me realize that He had performed a miracle in my mother and that while people half her age in much better physical health had succumb to the evil onslaught of cancer, my mother was still alive and well! Why? Because of her faith, her attitude and the loving mercy of our God to heal her in His way, not mine!
Remember that God is on the throne, He loves you and He cares about you. He may not heal you the way you want Him to, but that doesn't mean He hasn't made another way to heal your body, mind and spirit!!!
